Our Work - Huka Falls Resort
Challenge
Talk about a crunch project, with a deadline of less than a month we were tasked to create a fresh and modern new look for the rapidly expanding Huka Falls Resort complex as they moved away from the old Huka Village status. Instructed to incorporate their colour palette and theme derived from the businesses print and branding collateral, we relished this challenge with a very motivated client.
Solution
Working closely with the Huka Falls Resort executive staff we quickly identified key areas of importance and their expectations. While their branding was already in place, making this work in the web medium required a lot of subtle design techniques. The key was keeping things as simple and clean as possible, without sacrificing the user experience. The design had to then be wrapped around a simple, yet comprehensive content management system (CMS) to enable the staff to make timely changes as and when required. We really enjoyed this tight timeline challenge - and as the website shows, the pressure produced excellent results.
